Consep Consulting can produce sustainability reports that are consistent with the highest level of assurance framework: the AA1000 Assurance Standard. For organisations that have already completed reports we can give the necessary assurance that the AA1000 series requires.

The AA1000 Assurance Standard

The purpose of the AA1000 Assurance Standard is to ensure that non-financial performance is presented as rigorously and as fairly as financial performance.  Going beyond mere quantification, it provides a credible platform for accounting the performance and management of sustainability in an organisation.


The standard measures the adherence to three principles:

  1. Inclusivity – Ensuring companies are aware of all the key challenges, accepting their responsibility to stakeholders.
  2. Materiality – Identifying relevant issues.
  3. Responsiveness – Responding to stakeholder issues that influence sustainability performance.

The AA1000 Assurance Standard ensures that sustainability reporting is a credible business tool. It is based on third-party assurance, given by independent organisations such as Consep Consulting. It verifies that a company has understood sustainability, has based reports on reliable, quantified data, and implemented the required management policy.
